Boaz Friedman's (Unit 0, Studio 0-114) graduation exhibition at Düsseldorf Art Academy, Interbellum, is a painting show that surveys the interwar period of 1918 to 1939. Executed in black, white and grayscale, the paintings explore events and developments exactly a hundred years ago, such as the birth of surrealism amidst fascism, cubism through conspiracy theories, or cartoon's beautification of violence. Düsseldorf Art Academy opens its doors to the public twice a year, showing works of graduating and continuing students. The graduate show is open from 4-17 October 2021.
