Josephine Baker, Correction, at Tintype (25 Jul-31 Aug 2019)

Josephine Baker's (0-30) Correction, an installation and series of poems in the window of Tintype, opens Wednesday 24 July, and is on display until 31 August 2019.

Using readily-available and standardised materials, Baker’s sculpture and installation practice combines language with architectural and industrial forms. The poems she writes often address the status of materiality in her object-based work, using them to heat up what is considered to be cold, inert matter. - text courtesy Tintype Gallery.
