Anne Krinsky: Tropical Thames at Crossrail Place Roof Garden

15 August - 15 October 2017
Private View: Wednesday 6 September 2017, 6-8pm

Crossrail Place Roof Garden, Canary Wharf E14 5AR
Opening Hours: 6am - 9pm daily

Anne Krinsky's Tropical Thames, an installation of large-scale digital prints on dibond aluminium panels, was designed specifically for the Crossrail Place Roof Garden in Canary Wharf. Her imagery is inspired by Thames architectural structures in southeast London – docks, piers, river walls and stairs – that were shaped by centuries of shipping and trade. Tropical Thames also responds to the Garden's dramatic roof structure and to its plantings, some of which were tropical species that first arrived in Britain through Thames docks. Tropical Thames, a Canary Wharf Arts Commission, is on view from 6am - 9pm from 15 August through 15 October. During September it also is part of the 2017 Totally Thames Festival.
