Eunice Bossman-Okai (Unit 5, Studio 5-304) presents a solo exhibition of wall-based sculptures and hand-embellished prints inspired by her belief that love is key. Eunice feels a little love shown through small and big acts of respect, kindness, unselfishness and words can play a crucial role in bringing peace and unity in today’s society. Each work for her embodies some aspect of love. There are several definitions for love but the one Eunice has decided to focus on is the Meriam Webster definition; it defines love as unselfish, loyal and benevolent. She loves the philosophy of experimenting and this has led to her working with materials based on natural resources primarily from Africa, such as Kolanuts, African Native sponge and Aridan (Prekese). Her love for experimentation has inspired her to widen her creativity. This has resulted in her producing new diverse work including wall-based sculptures and hand-embellished prints. Eunice is a graduate of Middlesex University where she studied Jewellery and Accessories, and has a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design.
